Marcus Jackson, Albany Academy boys’ basketball: The senior guard tallied 101 points in a trio of victories, highlighted Saturday as he produced 49 points, 10 rebounds, six steals and four assists in the Cadets’ 86-72 win against Bishop Maginn.
Royal Brown, Cohoes boys’ basketball: Scored 36 points in a 70-61 setback against Voorheesville and pumped in 32 points in an 85-57 loss to La Salle.
Cameron Orr, Lake George boys’ basketball: Netted 34 points in the Warriors’ 67-62 win over Glens Falls.
Isaiah Austin, Albany boys’ basketball: Finished with 29 points in a 64-58 win over Burnt Hills and 33 points in a 71-57 loss against Schenectady.
Rodney Parker, Schalmont boys’ basketball: The senior came through with 33 points to lead the Sabres past Scotia 72-62.
Jesse Kuzmich, Greenwich boys’ basketball: Topped all scorers with 32 points in the Witches’ 60-57 loss against Hoosick Falls.
Zeke Pulliam, Berne-knox-westerlo boys’ basketball: Tallied 31 points in a 79-48 triumph over Loudonville Christian and scored 29 points in a 73-67 win against Middleburgh.
Dayshaun Watson, Green Tech boys’ basketball: Led the way for the Eagles with 31 points in a 70-61 decision over La Salle.
Patrick Manella, Loudonville Christian boys’ basketball: Scored a team-best 30 points in a 79-48 loss against Berne-knoxwesterlo.
Valencia Fontenelle-posson, Guilderland girls’ basketball: Delivered 84 games in three games, including registering 35 points on Senior Night to lead the Lady Dutch past Bethlehem 80-66.
Alexis Wright, Berne-knox-westerlo girls’ basketball: Scored 32 points in a 58-20 victory over Middleburgh and tallied 32 points in a 64-27 win against Schoharie.
Meghan Huerter, Shenendehowa girls’ basketball:
The senior guard helped lead the Plainsmen to four wins during the week, highlighted when the Providence-bound star scored 31 points in a 92-50 win against Bethlehem.
Allison O’hanlon, Duanesburg girls’ basketball: A freshman guard and captain, O’hanlon produced 30 points (eight 3-pointers) to lead the Eagles to a 71-46 verdict over Bishop Gibbons.
Olivia Olsen, Niskayuna girls’ basketball: The senior center scored 22 points to surpass the 1,000-point career plateau in a 75-14 win against to Scotia.
Payton Graber, Schalmont girls’ basketball: The junior point guard generated 62 points in a trio of victories, including 22 points Saturday in a 58-39 win against Ichabod Crane that lifted Graber to the top spot on the school’s all-time scoring list with 1,364 career points.
Antonio Ressetti, Burnt Hills-ballston Spa hockey: Scored in overtime to lift his team to a 3-2 triumph over Saratoga.
Jason Schnitizer, Burnt Hills-ballston Spa hockey: The junior forward tallied two goals and two assists in a 7-0 victory against the Mohawks.
Luke Pezzano, CBA hockey: Produced four assists as the Brothers beat Albany Academy 8-3. A day later, Pezzano delivered two goals and three assists in a 7-2 decision over Albany Academy.
Ryan Mcmahon, CBA hockey: Netted two goals in a 3-1 victory against Bethlehem.
Dane Jones, Bethlehem hockey: Tallied both goals for the Eagles in a 2-1 decision over CBA.
Brendan Witte, La Salle hockey: The senior forward finished with two goals and two assists as the Cadets defeated the Capital District Jets 8-6.
Ryan Saelens, Shenendehowa hockey: Scored two goals and added two assists in a 7-1 victory against Albany Academy.
Ryan Stein, Shaker wrestling: The junior collected three wins during the week, including capturing the final match in decisions over Niskayuna (34-30) and Mohonasen (31-27).
Conor Compton, Niskayuna boys’ swimming: Secured top honors in the diving competition at the Suburban Council championships with a score 502.50 points.
Willis Bickford, South Glens Falls boys’ bowling: Posted a 728 series, highlighted by a high-game of 279, to lead the Bulldogs past Queensbury 4-0.
Payton Merrills, Hoosick Falls boys’ bowling: The Panthers cruised to a 5-0 win against Stillwater, paced by the exploits from Merrills with a 278 high game and a 733 triple.
Team of the week
Albany Academy boys’ swimming: Ina day littered with personal bests and pool records, the Cadets tied the Section II record in the 200 medley and broke the record for the 200 free relay — with Ian Young, Silas Strich, Bryaden Henkel and Bryce Henkel swimming both relays.
