Baylor ends Oklahoma St. streak

Jared Butler has 22 points for first-time Big 12 champions

Jared Butler scored 22 points and No. 3 Baylor, fresh off clinching its first Big 12 title on the road two days earlier, beat No. 17 Oklahoma State 81-70 on Thursday night to end the Cowboys’ five-game winning streak.

The Bears (20-1, 12-1 Big 12) seem to have their legs back under them after a three-week stretch without any games because of COVID -19 issues in the program. Their fourth game in 10 days came after winning in overtime at No. 6 West Virginia on Tuesday night for the school’s first league title since 1950 in the Southwest Conference. Matthew Mayer and Macio Teague both added 19 points for the Bears.

Michigan 69, Michigan St. 50:

Franz Wagner scored 19 points, Hunter Dickinson added 14 and No. 2 Michigan wrapped up the Big Ten title.

Iowa 102, Nebraska 64:

Jordan Bohannon tied a career high with eight 3-pointers and scored 26 points, and No. 5 Iowa beat Nebraska.

West Virginia 76, TCU 67:

Redshirt freshman Jalen Bridges set seasons highs with 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead No. 6 West Virginia. Kansas 67, UTEP 62: Marcus Garrett scored on a driving layup with 22.4 seconds to go and Dajuan Harris added a pair of clinching free throws as No. 13 Kansas rallied.

Texas 69, Oklahoma 65: Jericho Sims matched season highs with 16 points and 12 rebounds to help No. 15 Texas beat No. 16 Oklahoma.

Texas Tech 81, Iowa St. 54: Mac Mcclung scored 20 points and No. 18 Texas Tech got its third consecutiv­e victory.

Colorado 75, Arizona State 61: Mckinley Wright IV scored 17 of his 24 points in the second half and No 24 Colorado shook off a sluggish start to beat Arizona State.

Women

Stanford 92, Southern California 53: Ashten Prechtel had 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 4 Stanford to a Pac-12 quarterfin­al win.

Maryland 88, Michigan 63: Diamond Miller scored eight of her 17 points in the first quarter to help No. 8 Maryland start strong and Ashley Owusu had 22 points in a victory over No. 12 Michigan that clinched a share of the Big Ten title.

Mississipp­i 69, Arkansas 60: Shakira Austin scored a career-high 29 points and Ole Miss smothered No. 13

Arkansas in the Southeaste­rn Conference Tournament.

Central Florida 58, South Florida 45: Masseny Kaba scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Central Florida stymied No. 15 South Florida.

Kentucky 73, Florida 64: Rhyne Howard scored 27 points, and No. 17 Kentucky earned a win in the second round of the SEC Tournament.

Oregon St. 71, Oregon 64: Freshman Talia von Oelhoffen had 19 points and Oregon State advanced in the Pac-12 Tournament with a quarterfin­al victory over No. 19 Oregon.

Arizona 60, Washington St. 44: Trinity Baptiste had 17 points and No. 11 Arizona won a Pac-12 quarterfin­al.
