TROY — Anne Anna Rose Carlotti Rodino, 94, died Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at her residence after a long illness with her loving son by her side.

Born in Albany and raised in Albany and Rensselaer, she married Amedeo "Al" Rodino and came to Troy where she resided for the past 74 years. She was daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Luciano Carlotti.

Anne had several jobs through the years. As a teenager, she rode through the city delivering flyers, and she worked at Montgomery Wards as a sales clerk. Anne headed the woman’s department at Rodino’s before retiring to work in the faculty dining room kitchen at R.P.I. She ended her working years as a teacher’s aide for Pre-k at St. Jude the Apostle School where she loved the children and they loved her stories and songs she would sing them. Anne loved to draw and sketch, as a hobby. Anne loved to sing. When she was in her teens, Anne won a singing contest at the former Grand Theatre in Albany. She performed in the old St. Anthony’s shows in Troy and proudly took the stage with Jimmy Durante as a guest entertainer there. Mom met her husband at some of the former dances at the Old Hendrick Hudson in Troy. An excellent baker and cook, Anne looked forward to family gatherings where she provided trays and trays of Italian cookies each from a different recipe and a variety of Italian foods. She was especially loved by the family and grandchildren for her meatballs, lasagna, eggplant parm, stuffed peppers and the list goes on and on. If she could bake or cook for you it made her happy. She loved meeting and getting to know new people. It was easy for her to carry on a conversation with someone she just met. Anne fulfilled one of lifelong dreams on her bucket list as she rode a horse for the first time despite a debilitating stroke that paralyzed her left side. Anne served on various church groups as an officer and committee worker.

Survivors include her sons, Joseph A. Rodino, Reverend Salvatore A. Rodino, and Richard N. (Lori) Rodino. She was the grandmother "Mimi" of Stacey and (Kevin) Beattie, Lisa and (Christopher) Borst, Joseph Rodino, Guilia and (Nick) Dubray, Richard and (Courtney ) Rodino, Gianna Rodino, Anthony Rodino, the late Rachel Rodino; greatgrandmother "Mimi" of Keegen (Desiree) Rodino, Nolan and Ella Beattie, Riley, Addison and Cooper Borst, Collette (Coco) Dubray; and great-greatgrandmother "Mimi" of Nathen and Lennen Rodino.
