A look at this past week's top performers:

John Graney, Shaker football: The senior safety recorded two intercepti­ons and two fumble recoveries, the second resulting in a touchdown, to help propel the Blue Bison to a 20-0 victory at Shenendeho­wa.

Joey Mirabile, Shaker football: Passed for 127 yards and rushed for 108 yards (one touchdown) in a 20-0 triumph over Shenendeho­wa.

Logan Broomhall, Guilderlan­d football: Completed 9 of 16 passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns, plus added a rushing touchdown, to help the Dutchmen defeat Bethlehem 35-8.

Chris Davis, Schenectad­y football: Rushed for a pair of touchdowns to help power the Patriots past Colonie 38-0.

Xavier Leigh, Troy football: The senior running back, competing in his fifth varsity campaign, rushed for 186 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Flying Horses past La Salle 42-12.

Alex Wolfe, Troy football: Finished 15-for-19 passing for 176 yards and two touchdowns, plus added 69 yards rushing and one touchdown, in a 42-12 victory at La Salle.

Caeden Lapietro, Burnt Hills football: Tossed two touchdown passes and ran for a touchdown, helping the Spartans beat Ballston Spa, 35-12.

Dan Quinn, Niskayuna football: Threw a pair of touchdown passes as the Silver Warriors blanked Mohonasen, 14-0.

Caleb Romano, Hudson football: The junior completed 5 of 6 passes for 103 yards and three touchdowns and added two sacks on defense in leading the Bluehawks to a 51-0 win against Cairo-durham/catskill.

Sam Mcgarrahan, Schuylervi­lle football: Rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns as the Black Horses knocked off Mechanicvi­lle 38-0.

Greg Hays, Hoosick Falls/tamarac football: Connected on 7 of 10 passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns in a 33-0 victory over Ichabod Crane.

Jesse Kuzmich, Greenwich football: The junior quarterbac­k rushed for 48 yards and four touchdowns, passed for 159 yards and one touchdown and added a two-point conversion run Sunday in a 34-0 win over Voorheesvi­lle.

Bryce Lynch, Greenwich football: The senior defensive tackle had a trio of sacks in the Witches' 34-0 victory against Voorheesvi­lle.

Marissa Demartino, Holy Names girls' soccer: Tallied a trio of goals in a 5-2 Colonial Council victory against Ichabod Crane.

Brookyn Diego, Scotia girls' soccer: Tallied one goal and four assists as the Tartans knocked off Johnstown 7-0.

Abby Sidoti, Voorheesvi­lle girls' soccer: Scored in the first half to lead the Blackbirds past Holy Names 1-0.

Ella Moscow, Bolton/warrensbur­g girls' soccer: Scored five goals in a 8-0 victory against Hoosick Falls.

Aidan Miller, Ballston Spa boys' soccer: Registered a trio of goals to lead the Eagles to a 9-0 verdict over Amsterdam.

Amir Abdellatif, Ballston Spa boys' soccer: Produced two goals and two assists in a 9-0 win against Amsterdam.

Kiran Sood, Bethlehem boys' soccer: Scored two goals Saturday in a 2-1 triumph over Ballston Spa.

Brayden Becker, Hudson Falls boys' soccer: Posted two goals and one assist in a 4-0 victory against Johnstown.

Durant Poole, Glens Falls boys' soccer: Found the back of the net twice as the Indians beat Hudson Falls 2-0 in the Foothills Council.

Julia Harvey, Bethlehem field hockey: Scored twice as the Eagles posted a 4-0 win against Glens Falls.

Tyler Christense­n, Shenendeho­wa boys' volleyball: Recorded 12 kills in a 3-0 decision over Bethlehem and produced 18 kills and eight digs in a 3-1 victory against Saratoga.

Jeremy Garrigan, Columbia boys' volleyball: Generated 30 assists as the Blue Devils edged Burnt Hills in five sets.

Erika Macken, Shenendeho­wa girls' volleyball: Tallied 15 assists, nine kills and eight service points in a 3-1 win over Troy.

Carlie Rzeszotars­ki, Burnt Hills girls' volleyball: The Spartans' star outside hitter finished with 11 kills in a 3-0 victory against Bethlehem. Emily Norgrove, Guilderlan­d girls' volleyball: Produced 19 kills, 17 digs and five aces as the Lady Dutch defeated Ballston Spa 3-2.

Team of the week

Shaker football: The Blue Bison limited Shenendeho­wa to 103 yards on offense and forced five turnovers in posting a 20-0 road victory to open the Class AA season.
