LOS ANGELES — Elgin Baylor, the Lakers’ 11-time NBA All-star who soared through the 1960s with a high-scoring style of basketball that became the model for the modern player, died Monday of natural causes at 86. He averaged 27.4 points, 13.5 rebounds in a 14-year career, entering the Hall of Fame in 1977.
