Russ Gibson and Duncan Calhoun recently presented a check to Columbia- Greene Humane Society/spca President/ceo Ron Perez for $50,000 to seed the Zamboni Fund, a dedicated fund to support the shelter’s free Pet Food Bank and their low-cost veterinary clinic. They founded the fund in memory of their beloved Shar-pei, Zamboni, who was adopted from CGHS/SPCA. They have committed $175,000 to this effort. Their desire is to encourage the public to contribute to the Zamboni Fund to ensure that no animal ever goes without food or necessary medical treatment. For more information on the Zamboni Fund, contact Perez by email at ronperez@cghs.org or by phone at (518) 828-6044 ext. 108.
