Malta food charity seeks cash to continue its work

Since early December, Nanola Restaurant in Malta, in partnership with the town of Malta and the Saratoga County Foundation, has provided up to 120 free meals a week for those in need as part of Malta Give to Dine program.

A donation of $25 provides a boxed complete meal for a family of four, and the program has been replicated in Schuylerville and Greenwich.

According to the national not-for-profit Feeding America, 42 million people (one in eight), including 13 million children (one in six), may experience food insecurity in 2021.
