ALBANY — Brian A. Manley, Sr., 87, entered Eternal Life, Friday, April 9, 2021, at home with his loving family. Born in Model Cottages, Cork City, Ireland, he was the son of Daniel and Anne Manley (Fitzgibbon). Brian married the love of his life, Kathleen (Ka’) Burke, in 1956. Brian immigrated to America in 1956, on his honeymoon with his new bride.

Brian was a carpenter and longtime member of local Union #291. In retirement, he worked at the Albany County Courthouse and Albany Municipal Golf Course. Brian was a devout Roman Catholic, Brian was a gifted and renowned Irish tenor. He loved listening to John Mccormack, opera and Irish music. He was an avid golfer and played soccer with the German Club. He was a life member of both the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Father Henry Tansey Division 5, Albany and Albany Elks Lodge #49.

He was a loving husband of the late Kathleen M Manley (Burke). He was father to Daniel G. Manley, Elizabeth A. Manley, Deirdre M. Mozes (Pete) and the late Brian A. Manley, Jr. He was brother to the late Ann Shuster, Donal, James, Frank and Michael Manley; Peepaw of Christine Berghela, Seamus and Molly Manley, Brian A. Manley III, Max and Katie Mozes; and great-grandfathe­r to Logan, Nyla, and Primrose Marrero. Brian is also survived by many dear in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends from here and Ireland.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Brian’s family Wednesday, April 14, from 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. at the Mcveigh Funeral Home, 208 N. Allen St., Albany, NY 12206. Please only enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot doorway. Masks and social distancing are required and only 45 visitors at a time will be allowed in the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 15, at 9 a.m. at the Historic Church of St. Mary on Capitol Hill,
