Two dogs seized from Malta residence

MALTA — A Malta couple faces misdemeanor cruelty to animal charges after the Saratoga County Sheriff ’s Office received a complaint of dogs living in poor conditions at a Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park residence.

The investigation into the complaint resulted in the Sheriff ’s Office obtaining a seizure order for the animals; two pit bulls were secured by the Malta animal control officer.

The Malta residents, ages 41 and 42, are accused of failing to provide sustenance to the animals and of keeping them in unsafe and unsanitary living conditions. They were given court appearance tickets.

The animals are currently receiving care at the Saratoga County Animal Shelter.
