Saratoga’s Bush tops field at dual meet

Ryan Bush finished with a time of 16 minutes, 20.57 seconds to top the field by almost a minute and lead Saratoga Springs in a Suburban Council boys’ cross country dual meet on Tuesday at the Saratoga Spa Park Peerless Pool course.

Bush helped the Blue Streaks defeat Bethlehem, Columbia and Troy at the meet. Columbia’s Jacob Yannone finished second with a time of 17:06.36 and Saratoga’s Jacob Bernd rounded out the topthree with a time of 17:09.38.

Girls’ soccer: Saratoga Springs and Shaker battled to a 4-4 tie in a Suburban Council clash. Abby Dranichak had two goals to lead Shaker while Elizabeth Sheehan had a goal and an assist for Saratoga Springs . ... Bella Walsh scored the game’s only goal to lift Guilderlan­d over Averill Park 1-0 in another Suburban game. Tor Rollins stopped five shots to earn the shutout win for the Lady Dutch.

Girls’ tennis: Queensbury kept its perfect Foothills Council record intact with a 7-0 sweep of rival Glens Falls. The Spartans moved to 11-0 in the Foothills and 11-3 overall with the victory. Alexandra

Murray, Natalie Dejohn and Nicole Greenstein had singles victories and the team of Lyndsay Pepe and Tessa Murray had the doubles win. Annabelle Troubridge, Jocelyn Pepe and the doubles pair of Caroline Garrelts and Nicole Hogan were awarded wins by forfeit.

Boys’ soccer: Tobias Jeralds scored three goals to lead Chatham to a 5-1 win over visiting Taconic Hills in a Patroon Conference contest. Alex Chudy added three assists for the Panthers . ... Ushindi Bahati had three goals to pace Albany’s 4-0 victory against Schenectad­y in a Suburban Council matchup. Cesar Bermejo had three saves to pick up the shutout in goal for the Falcons.
