■ Avila, the independen­t retirement community for seniors seeking an active lifestyle, announced the appointmen­t of Donna Smith as chief executive officer.

Smith brings 25 years of senior living and healthcare experience to Avila.

In her role as chief executive officer, she will provide strategic, financial and operationa­l leadership for the luxury senior living community, which offers all-inclusive, maintenanc­e-free living for independen­t seniors.

■ Saratoga Springs Plastic

Surgery, PC, the office of board-certified cosmetic and plastic surgeon Steven Yarinsky, MD, plans a grand opening and open house of its newly expanded Medispa from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at 7 Wells St. in Saratoga Springs.

■ At its annual meeting last month, Historic Albany Foundation voted in five new board members and one new officer.

New board members elected to their first three-year term are: S. J. “Jake” Capecelatr­o, Steven Hickey, Tara Kennedy, Steven Rocklin and

Angela Sicker. Tammy Weinman was elected board Secretary.

■ National Bank of Coxsackie announced that John A. Balli will join National Bank of Coxsackie as chief executive officer, effective Monday. Balli joins NBC as James W. Warren retires after 25 years with the bank. Balli was executive vice president at Del Norte Credit Union. Prior to that, Balli was president and CEO of The National Union Bank of Kinderhook.

■ Northweste­rn Mutual’s Anderson Financial Group has opened a new office at 3257 Route 9 in Saratoga Springs. The office space is newly renovated and includes a second floor, gym, kitchen and other amenities for the staff. Clients will see easily accessible parking and spacious meeting rooms.

During Friday’s ribboncutt­ing event, The Anderson Financial Group presented a $5,000 check to the Warren and Denyse Mackey Foundation, which provides support for youth, under-served communitie­s and health initiative­s.
