Julian Franjieh, Niskayuna boys’ cross country: The senior registered a third-place finish (15:59.9) at the Class A state championships.
Gitch Hayes, La Salle boys’ cross country: The standout star captured the Class B state title at the state championships, posting the day’s top time overall (15:17.1).
Jack Hicks, Queensbury boys’ cross country: Crossed the line in sixth (16:23.5) at the Class B state championships.
Matthew Rounds, Burnt Hills boys’ cross country: Posted a ninth-place finish (16:29.3) in Class B at the state championships.
Ryan Allison, Burnt Hills boys’ cross country: Finished 10th in the Class B race (16:29.4), helping the Spartans claim the team championship.
Bennett Melita, Fonda boys’ cross country: The junior came in fourth (16:50.1) at the Class C state championships.
Emily Bush, Saratoga Springs girls’ cross country: The sophomore came in second (17:50.2) in the Class A race at the state championships.
Alycia Hart, Saratoga Springs girls’ cross country: Registered a fourth-place finish (18:02.4) in the Class A race at the state championships.
Mackenzie Hart, Saratoga Springs girls’ cross country: The senior crossed the line in fifth (18:03.6) in the Class A race at the state championships.
Rachel Miller, Mohonasen girls’ cross country: The freshman standout finished sixth (19:00.6) in the Class B race at the state championships.
Mariem Sayahi, Voorheesville girls’ cross country: Recorded a fifth-place finish (19:18.2) in the Class C title at the state championships.
Donald Jones, CBA football: The sophomore rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns as the Brothers bested Shenendehowa 28-14 in the Class AA Super Bowl.
Jason Rogers, CBA football: The senior nose guard recorded two sacks and forced a fumble in the 28-14 triumph over Shenendehowa.
Tyler Manning, Burnt Hills football: Threw for a touchdown and rushed for one touchdown, leading the Spartans to a 21-0 win against Queensbury in the Class A Super Bowl.
Luke Misetich, Ravena football: The junior quarterback completed 5-of-7 passes for 171 yards and four touchdowns in a 33-14 Class B Super Bowl victory over Gloversville.
Lukas Sherman, Schuylerville football: The sophomore ran it 23 times for 113 yards and three touchdowns in a 26-16 win against Fonda in the Class C Super Bowl.
Matt Conlin, Greenwich football: The senior rumbled for 185 yards rushing and two touchdowns as the Witches defeated Stillwater 31-7 in the Class D Super Bowl.
Lauren Shanahan, Shenendehowa field hockey: Scored the only goal in the first quarter, leading the Plainsmen to a 1-0 Class A state semifinal win over Mamaroneck.
Caroline Kogut, Burnt Hills field hockey: Scored the first goal of the game in what turned out to be a 2-1 victory over Garden City in the Class B state championship game.
Maddy Connelie, Burnt Hills field hockey: Tallied what proved to be the gamewinning goal just before halftime in a 2-1 triumph over Garden City in the Class B state final.
Emma Mccart, Hoosick Falls field hockey: The junior scored twice as the Panthers defeated North Salem 2-0 and tallied a goal in a 6-1 loss against Whitney Point in the Class C state final.
Eli Charlebois, Maple Hill boys’ soccer: Tallied a trio of goals in the Wildcats’ 5-2 Class C state semifinal win against Maple Grove.
Taylor Jordanais, Shenendehowa girls’ soccer: Scored on a header in a 2-0 Class AA state semifinal win against Arlington.
Emily Baumes, Shenendehowa girls’ soccer: Tallied a goal in the second half following a scramble to help the Plainsmen record a 2-0 win over Arlington in the Class AA state semifinals.
Carter Durivage, Columbia boys’ volleyball: Delivered 13 kills and five aces as the Blue Devils swept Clarkstown North 3-0 in the Division I state quarterfinals.
Emily Paliwodzinski, Shenendehowa girls’ volleyball: Produced 37 assists (including the 1,000th in her career) and 10 digs as the Plainsmen knocked off Fayettevillemanlius in three sets to advance to the Class AA state final four.
Carlie Rzeszotarski, Burnt Hills girls’ volleyball: The senior outside hitter recorded 18 kills as the Spartans defeated Fulton 3-0
to advance to the final four in Class A.
