Streaking Leafs top Rangers

Rielly scores twice for 10th win in 11 games over N.Y.

Morgan Rielly scored twice and the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the New York Rangers 2-1 on Thursday night for their 10th victory in 11 games.

Jack Campbell made 27 saves for Toronto.

Dryden Hunt scored for New York, and Igor Shesterkin stopped 28 shots.

The Rangers came in with four straight victories, and had earned points in eight of their last nine, but were unable to generate much of an attack until the third period.

The Leafs have won five straight and are 10-1-0 since a four-game slide.

Shesterkin, who made 40 saves in New York’s 2-1 overtime victory at Toronto on Oct. 18, had a nice blocker stop on Jason Spezza early in the first period off a turnover, but

Toronto pushed ahead moments later.

Flames 5, Sabres 0: Jacob Markstrom made 27 saves for his fifth shutout, Andrew Mangiapane had two goals and an assist, and Calgary beat Buffalo.

Penguins 6, Canadiens 0:

Teddy Blueger scored two goals and the Pittsburgh Penguins snapped a three-game skid. Tristan Jarry stopped all 24 shots for the Penguins.

Lightning 4, Flyers 3 (SO):

Steven Stamkos and Brayden Point each scored in the shootout and regulation to lift Tampa Bay over Philadelph­ia.

Panthers 4, Devils 1:

Spencer Knight made a career-high 45 saves to lift Florida over New Jersey. The Panthers extended their home regularsea­son win streak to 13 games dating to last season.

Blues 4, Sharks 1: Brandon Saad scored twice, Ville Husso made 26 saves, and St. Louis Blues snapped a four-game losing streak.

Wild 7, Stars 2: Kirill Kaprizov had a goal and two assists for Minnesota, who used a fourgoal third period to spoil Dallas defenseman Ryan Suter’s return.
