A look at the week’s top performers:

Lukas Sherman, Schuylervi­lle football: The sophomore carried the ball 15 times for 143 yards and three touchdowns Saturday in helping the Black Horses record a 52-14 victory over Dobbs Ferry in the Class C semifinals at Middletown High School.

Owen Sherman, Schuylervi­lle football: The quarterbac­k completed 4-of-4 passes for 69 yards, rushed for 94 yards, tossed a trio of two-point conversion passes and rushed for a two-point conversion in a 52-14 win against Dobbs Ferry.

Ryan Dow, Schuylervi­lle football: The senior standout rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for 14 yards as the Black Horses bested Dobbs Ferry 52-14.

Jesse Kuzmich, Greenwich football: The senior quarterbac­k rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown and completed a 41-yard touchdown pass to Deontae Bennett in a 28-14 loss to Moriah in the Class D state semifinals.

Emily Bush, Saratoga Springs girls’ cross country: The sophomore, competing for Kinetic, registered a victory at the Nike Cross New York Regional at Bowdoin Park with a winning time of 18 minutes, 9.3 seconds.

Alycia Hart, Saratoga Springs girls’ cross country: Finished second at the Nike Cross New York Regional in 18:32.4.

Ella Kurto, Saratoga Springs girls’ cross country: The senior posted a third-place finish (18:33.2) at the Nike Cross New York Regional.

Sheridan Wheeler, Saratoga Springs girls’ cross country: Earned fourth (18:35.8) at the Nike Cross New York Regional.

Mackenzie Hart, Saratoga Springs girls’ cross country: The senior completed a team sweep of the top five positions at the Nike Cross New York Regional as she finished fifth in 18:40.0.

Gitch Hayes, La Salle boys’ cross country: The senior, who will run in college at the University of North Carolina, earned a trip to the national championsh­ips in San Diego as he finished third at the Eastbay Cross Country Northeast Regional at Van Cortlandt Park in a time of 15:18.6.

Matthew Rounds, Burnt Hills boys’ cross country: Competing for Team Deluge, Rounds earned the individual title (16:24.4) at the Nike Cross New York Regional.

Peter Fulgieri, Burnt Hills boys’ cross country: The senior posted a fourth-place finish (16:44.8) at the Nike Cross New York Regional.

Nick Grock, Burnt Hills boys’ cross country: Crossed the line in fifth (16:48.2) at the Nike Cross New York Regional.

Nate Brimhall, Shenendeho­wa boys’ cross country: The senior finished eighth (16:52.8) at the Nike Cross New York Regional.

Nate Davis, Columbia boys’ cross country: Earned a 12th-place showing (17:08.5) at the Nike Cross New York Regional.

Matt Windecker, Burnt Hills boys’ cross country: Produced a 13th-place finish to help secure the team title at the Nike Cross New York Regional.

Alex Wheeler, Columbia boys’ track and field: The senior recorded wins in the 300 (39.1 seconds), long jump (19 feet, 10 inches) and the triple jump (39-1 1⁄4) at the Tri County Meet B.

Carter Petersen, Fonda boys’ track and field: Establishe­d a new school record in the pole vault at 14 feet competing in the Tri County A meet.

William Bievenue, Bethlehem hockey: Tallied one goal in each period to propel the Eagles to a 3-2 triumph over Canandaigu­a.

Sean Bruno, GMSVS Storm hockey: Scored two goals and added an assist in a 5-1 win against La Salle.

Alex Doehla, Mohawks hockey: Registered 28 saves in a 2-1 victory over the GMSVS Storm.

Zaveon Little, Green Tech boys’ basketball: Delivered 28 points, 20 rebounds and seven blocks in a 79-61 win against Edison Tech and finished with 23 points, 13 rebounds and four assists to help the Eagles defeat Nottingham 82-54 in the title game of the Nottingham Thanksgivi­ng Invitation­al.

Dayshaun Watson, Green Tech boys’ basketball: Came through with 23 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists against Edison Tech and 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists vs. Nottingham.

Damari Holder, Schenectad­y boys’ basketball: Tallied 25 points to lead the Patriots past Mohonasen 76-43.

Robbie Bolen III, Saratoga Central Catholic boys’ basketball: Scored 26 points, made six steals and added five assists as the Saints beat Galway 60-34 in the final of the Beson Tournament.

Gavin Bodah, Waterford boys’ basketball: Netted 21 points in a 77-31 victory against Salem.

Clayton Sagendorf, Heatly boys’ basketball: Produced 28 points in a 68-65 setback against Fort Edward in the consolatio­n game of the Waterford Tournament.

Quincy Hytko, Cohoes girls’ basketball: Finished with 18 points in a 45-39 win against Bishop Maginn and tallied 14 points in a 43-30 victory over Lansingbur­gh.

Chloe Towle, Schoharie girls’ basketball: Scored 25 points in a 57-55 decision over Cherry Valley.

Team of the week

Schuylervi­lle football: The Black Horses scored touchdowns on all five drives during the first half and secured a 52-14 victory over Dobbs Ferry Saturday to advance to the Class C state final at the Syracuse Carrier Dome.
