Ladeau, Lillian M.

JOHNSTOWN — Lillian M. Ladeau, age 97 of Johnstown, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville.

Born on February 22, 1925, in Chatham, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (Fowler) Moss. She married the love of her life, Edward Ladeau Jr., on January 26, 1941. They were happily married for 71 years until his passing on February 6, 2012.

Lillian is survived by her children, Donald Ladeau, Linda Green (Art), Ronald Ladeau (Julie), and Darlene Partlow (Kyle); daughter-in-law, Rose Ladeau; two special cousins, Patricia Bray, Joan Holsapple; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Lillian was predeceased by her son, Marvin Ladeau; sisters, Minnie Brook and Frances Moss; brother, George Moss; and granddaughter, Averie Ladeau.

Lillian enjoyed spending summers camping at Lake Desolation and later in Benson. Later in life, she enjoyed crocheting blankets for nursing home residents.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, at 11 a.m. at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 E. Main St., Johnstown, with Reverend Dr. R.W. Williams Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 10 until 11 a.m.. Interment will follow the service in the Middle Grove Cemetery.
