COLONIE — Marion S. Fuchs, 98 of Colonie, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born on February 15, 1924, in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Robert D. Leitch and Marion G. Williams Leitch. She was a lifelong area resident and attended Albany City Schools.

Marion worked for 14 years as a bookkeeper for Cohen and Kramer, Inc. in Albany. In her younger years, Marion was a golfer, bowler and she enjoyed ice-skating. She also was a coin collector and loved to read. Most of all, she was a devoted mother and homemaker.

Marion had a devout faith and was an active member of Community Reformed Church of Colonie.

In addition to her parents, she was also predecease­d by her husband, Martin C. Fuchs, whom she married on December 29, 1949; and three siblings, Dorothy J. Cook, Robert D. Leitch Jr., and Elaine B. Levesque. Survivors include her four children, Michele M. Fuchs Fox of Loudonvill­e, and Melanie J. Fuchs, Martin R. Fuchs, and Marion M. (David) Rickard all of Colonie; five grandchild­ren, Hesper E. Faliveno of Loudonvill­e, Marissa A. (John) Lombardo of Colonie, Martin J. (Courtney) Fuchs of Colonie, Joshua M. Fuchs of Feura Bush, and Katarina M. Fuchs of Colonie; four great-grandchild­ren, Eden S. Faliveno, Paisley S. Fuchs, Martin T. Fuchs, and Dominic A. Lombardo; brother-in-law, Charles "Dick" Levesque; sister-in-law, Ann "Nancy" Fuchs; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Frederick Funeral Home, 633 Central Ave., Albany. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 10 a.m. foland Thursday at 10 a.m. followed by burial in St. John’s Cemetery in Colonie.
