The hit family adventure drama returns from winter hiatus to resume its second season, starting with two new back-to-back episodes tonight. First, in “Stampede,” the Harrises return to 10,000 B.C., determined to upload a virus that will stop all sinkholes despite knowing that this will mean they will never get home again. Plus, an unlikely leader rallies the Clearing to face an oncoming prehistori­c threat. In “Murder in the Clearing,” when a Survivor is murdered, Lucas (Josh Mckenzie) and Sam (Jon Seda) lead a contentiou­s investigat­ion to find the killer. Meanwhile, as Gavin (Eoin Macken) embarks on a mission to save Eve (Natalie Zea) from the fateful vision he’s had of her death, Eve finds herself closer than ever to seeing it come true.

Fight the Power: How Hip Hop Changed the World PBS, 9 p.m. ■ New Series

Developed by Public Enemy’s Chuck D and his producing partner Lorrie Boula, this series tells the story of hip-hop as a political tool for speaking truth to power. Offering firsthand accounts and archival footage, it deconstruc­ts the origins of the art form through the voices of those who were there at its start: MCS, DJS, graffiti artists, filmmakers, politician­s and opinion formers who created and shaped hip-hop’s direction as it grew from an undergroun­d movement in the Bronx to the most popular music genre in the United States and a fast-growing global force.
