LYON, France — Unseeded American Alycia Parks earned a stunning 7-6 (7), 7-5 win over WTA Finals champ Caroline Garcia in the Open Métropole de Lyon to clinch her first career title.

Parks, 22, who is ranked 79th, had 15 aces and saved all four break points against the top-seeded Garcia.

Zhu beats Tsurenko to win Open

Harvick to join Fox in 2024

LOS ANGELES — Kevin Harvick won’t spend a single day in retirement when his NASCAR driving days are over: Fox said it has hired Harvick for its broadcast booth next season.

Harvick announced last month that he will retire from NASCAR competitio­n at the end of the 2023 season.

He will then transition into a broadcast roll for Fox, which has used Harvick regularly as a guest analyst since 2015. He is scheduled to call four Xfinity Series and three Truck Series races this year for FS1, and next season he will join for Fox’s entire Cup schedule.

LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Aces traded recently acquired 6-foot-5 center Amanda Zahui B. to Washington for the Mystics’ second-round draft picks in 2024 and 2025.

Kane’s record goal lifts Tottenham

LONDON — Harry Kane became Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer with his goal in a 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Premier League.

It was the England captain’s 267th goal for the club — one more than the late Jimmy Greaves, who played for Tottenham from 1961-70.

PARIS — Second-place Marseille saw its 10-game unbeaten run end as it lost 3-1 at home to Nice to slip eight points behind French league leader Paris Saint- Germain.

Bayern reclaims Bundesliga lead

BERLIN — Bayern Munich held on despite Joshua Kimmich’s sending off to beat Wolfsburg 4-2 and return to the top of the Bundesliga.

Kimmich was sent off with his second yellow card in the 54th but Wolfsburg was unable to make its dominance count as the visitors delivered a lesson in efficiency.

Kingsley Coman scored twice and Thomas Müller and Jamal Musiala added two more while Bayern also needed goalkeeper Yann Sommer at his best to secure the team’s first Bundesliga win of the year.

It was enough for Bayern to move one point clear of Union Berlin.
