Ralph Keeney, Ballston Spa boys' wrestling: Recorded a trio of pins to improve to 40-4 and capture the 110-pound crown at the Section II Class B tournament.

Connor Gregory, Ballston Spa boys' wrestling: The senior star upped his record to 44-2 by winning the 160-pound bracket at the Section II Class B tournament.

Darrien Insogna, Ballston Spa boys' wrestling: Produced pins in the semifinals and final to lock up the 215-pound title at the Section II Class B tournament.

Liam Carlin, Burnt Hills-ballston Lake boys' wrestling: The sophomore standout pushed his record to 32-3 with a 16-1 triumph over Averill Park’s Jamie Barlett in the 132 pound final at the Section II Class B tournament.

Gabriel Goss, Burnt Hills-ballston Lake boys' wrestling: Vaulted his record up to 27-2 with a pin at 3:14 in the 138-pound title match over William O’connor (Ballston Spa) at the Class B sectionals.

Trevor Bishop, Tamarac boys' wrestling: Edged Cobleskill’s Liam English 3-1 in the 126-pound title match at the Section II Class C tournament.

Troy Austin, Whitehall boys' wrestling: Captured the 189-pound title at the Section II Class D tournament.

Kyle Lavin, Whitehall boys' wrestling: Seeded sixth in the 145-pound bracket at the Section II Class D tournament, Lavin proceeded to beat the top three seeds capped by a pin against Salem/cambridge’s Brayton Cary in the title match.

Evan Day, Salem/cambridge boys' wrestling: The senior, who earned third at the Division II state tournament competing at 285 pounds in 2022, pinned Dalton Cooper (Duanesburg/schoharie) at 1:26 to win the 215-pound title at the Section II Class D tournament.

Tristen Hitchcock, Warrensbur­g/ Lake George boys' wrestling: The 2022 Division II state champion at 285 pounds required 60 seconds to register three pins to earn the championsh­ip at the Section II Class D tournament.

Mckinley Wheeler, Saratoga Springs girls' indoor track: The senior posted a top-10 time in the nation this season by winning the 3,200 meter run at the Section II state qualifier at Hudson Valley Community College with a time 9 minutes, 58.84 seconds.

Emily Bush, Saratoga Springs girls' indoor track: The junior collected a victory in the 1,500 (4:44.71) at the Section II state qualifier.

Addison Vellekoop, Guilderlan­d girls' indoor track: The freshman reversed her finishes from the Division I championsh­ips as she won the 1,000 (2:59.17) and came in second in the 600 (1:42.00) at the Section II state qualifiers.

Amelia Mcbain, Saratoga Springs girls' indoor track: Backed up her Division I championsh­ip win in the pole vault by winning the event at the Section II state qualifier by clearing 11 feet, 6 inches.

Kara Moran, Stillwater girls' indoor track: The senior posted wins in the triple jump (36-101⁄2) and long jump (17-01⁄2) at the Section II state qualifier.

Bashir Praileau, Albany Academy boys' indoor track: Earned victories in the 55 hurdles (7.68) and long jump (22-43⁄4) at the Section II state qualifier.

Neil Howard, Taconic Hills boys' indoor track: The junior star cleared the bar at 14-6 to take the win in the pole vault at the Section II state qualifier.

Aakash Iyer, Guilderlan­d boys' indoor track: Produced a quality performanc­e to earn victory in a loaded 3,200 run (9:49.2) at the Section II state qualifier.

Graham Richard, Albany boys' indoor track: Collected the win in the 1,600 (4:35.77) at the Section II state qualifier.

Anthony Mainello, Troy boys' bowling: Registered a 756 triple, highlighte­d by a 265 high game, as the Flying Horses beat Averill Park 19-13.

Cameron Lehnert, Saratoga Springs boys' bowling: Rolled his first career 300 game and finished with a 706 triple to lead the Blue Streaks past Shenendeho­wa 17-15.

Ben Jenkin, Queensbury boys' Nordic skiing: Prevailed at the Mayfield Invitation­al, covering the 7-kilometer course in 21 minutes, 46.7 seconds.

Ciara Avery, Glens Falls girls' Nordic skiing: Secured the title at the Mayfield Invitation­al with a winning time of 26:23.4.

Tyler Carruthers, Adirondack hockey: Delivered two goals and three assists in a 5-4 victory over Gates-chili.

Josh Mckinney, CD Jets hockey: Highlighte­d a big offensive performanc­e with two goals and three assists in a 7-3 win against Burnt Hills-ballston Lake/ballston Spa.

Team of the week

Guilderlan­d girls' indoor track: By adding in the scores from Thursday’s shot put and weight throw events, the Lady Dutch put the finishing touches on a commanding win at the Division I sectional championsh­ips – the program’s first title – with a score of 175 points to outdistanc­e Saratoga Springs (100) and Shenendeho­wa (99).
