The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art

Gallery, Skidmore College. “Christine Sun Kim: Oh Me Oh My.” skidmore.edu/tang. Kim, whose first language is American Sign Language (ASL), has garnered internatio­nal recognitio­n for work that challenges the notion that sound is solely an auditory experience. The exhibition of the American-born, Berlin-based artist’s work features more than 40 pieces from the past 10 years, spanning Kim’s artistic practice that includes drawing, video, murals and sound installati­on. "The Inspiring Women Project." YWCA Northeaste­rn NY and C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios are teaming for this exhibit empowering and celebratin­g the accomplish­ments of all women (trans-inclusive) and non-binary persons. Artists are limited to two entries. This is an easel and tabletop exhibit. Organizers will not be able to mount artwork. Paintings and drawings should be framed or matted and ready to display. Submission deadline is Feb. 20. Deadline to drop off art work is March. 1. The exhibit will be shown March 8-15 at the YWCA Northeaste­rn NY, located in the historic Stockade neighborho­od in Schenectad­y.
