Nicholas Lewis, Albany, a second year medical student at Albany Medical College, was named to the Academic Medicine Scholars program for supervised research and teaching experience at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, Old Westbury.

Marley Hawthorne, Saratoga Springs, a student at SUNY Potsdam, was a member of the winning team at the college’s 57th Business Plan Competition, which challenges students to develop an entrepreneurial concept to fulfill the needs of a specific group of consumers.
Gillian Canavan, Queensbury and Madeline Brogan, Clifton Park, were among the six SUNY Oneonta students who performed in the SUNY Oneonta Theatre Department’s production of “Nordost” at the Kennedy Center Region I Festival at Cape Cod on Feb. 2.
