This German rom-com follows 49-year-old Zeynep (Naomi Krauss), who has Croatian-turkish roots, on her search for her own happiness. It’s a journey that leads her away from her unfaithful husband, demanding father and irritating daughter in Munich, drawing her to the wildly romantic Croatian isle of Solta. There, in the house her mother secretly bought years ago and gifted to her in her will, Zeynep hopes to find herself. If only the cottage’s former owner, a rugged islander named Josip (Goran Bogdan), weren’t still living on the very same plot of land.
