Crisafulli, Nancy ALBANY
— Nancy Crisafulli, born Nunziata, 93, entered Eternal Life Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Teresian House. Born in Forza D’agro, Sicily, a hilltop village overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, she was the daughter of the late Pietro and Angela Lombardo Muscolino.
Nancy insisted on continuing her education past the customary eighth grade, so begged her father to let her move to a nearby city. While away, she resided in a convent while completing her high school and college education. She met her husband while at the university. She graduated from Messina University with two degrees, one in Education and one in Home Economics. She immigrated to Albany in 1958. She worked for N.Y.S. Justice Court Audit and Control for 20 years, retiring in 1991. With her impeccable Tuscan Italian, she enjoyed teaching Italian adult education classes in her retirement.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Crisafulli; mother of Alida Crisafulli, PH.D. (Laurence Wilson), Stella Pidgeon (Frank), Joseph Crisafulli (Therese), Maria Crisafulli, Anthony Crisafulli (April) and Carlo Crisafulli (Michele); grandmother of Lauren, Hannah, Tristan, Rachael, Joseph, Eva, Mary, Josephine, Anthony, Justin, Vienna, Domenica, and Nadia; great-grandmother of Feivel and Nicholas; sister of Antonina Puglisi (Anthony); and predeceased by several brothers; several nieces and nephews also survive Nancy.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Nancy’s family Thursday, March 23, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Mcveigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany, NY 12206. Please enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot entrance only.
Funeral services Friday, March 24, at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave. (Father John Bradley Way) Albany, NY 12206, where her funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will be held at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery immediately following the Mass.
