Bethlehem burglar gets 7 years in prison
ALBANY — A man charged with burglary back in 2020 was sentenced Thursday to 7 years in state prison for the crime, Albany County prosecutors said.
Richard Agley, 54, was also sentenced to 5 years of post-release supervision before then-judge Andra Ackerman in County Court. That sentence follows his Nov. 21, 2023 guilty plea to seconddegree burglary.
An indictment alleged in June 2020, Agley burglarized a home on Euclid Street in Bethlehem and stole shoes and a credit card, both of which he later used. Authorities said he also tried to burglarize a second home and a vehicle in the area on the same day.
While the charges stem from 2020, the defendant failed to appear in court for over two years before the resolution of the case.
In addition to his sentence, four no-contact orders of protection were issued on behalf of the victims.
