• Alex Brame is the new executive director of STRIDE Adaptive Sports ,a West Sand Lake-based nonprofit offering programs to educate and empower people with disabiliti­es, promoting active, healthy and inclusive lifestyles via sports and recreation­al programs. He was the executive director of New York West Youth Soccer Associatio­n for seven years, fundraisin­g and advocating across New York state for youth programs, competitio­ns and tournament­s. He succeeds Mary Ellen Whitney, founder and CEO of STRIDE for almost 40 years.

• A grand opening and ribbon-cutting will take place for Korner Bar & Grille at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at 1770 Central Ave. in Colonie, according to the Colonie Chamber of Commerce.

• Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Saratoga Springs said owners Elizabeth and Grey Masko and local business executive Joan Regan Hayner are expanding the studios brand by developing studios in the Southern Maryland and Washington, D.C. region expected to open within the nextsix months.

• Shane Rauh has joined Berkshire Bank as vice president, business banking officer.

• Windham-based Adaptive Sports Foundation will close out its 40th winter of teaching adaptive ski and snowboard lessons with its annual Ralph Hartman Tribute Cup and Dinner Dance on March

9. This year’s Hartman is superhero themed, and participan­ts are encouraged to dress up like their favorite comic book crimefight­er.

• The Charlton School, Burnt Hills, updated its brand, logo and website for the first time in many years with the help of Fingerpain­t. The new logo and website are the culminatio­n of a two-year project that included focus groups and with students, alums, families/caregivers, community stakeholde­rs and staff.

• Blackbirds Bike Cafe is preparing to open its doors at 43 S. Main St., Voorheesvi­lle, this spring. It represents the newest location to join Business for Good’s family of companies, and the newest business in the village. The launch will be followed by the opening of the adjacent Blackbirds Tavern, scheduled in summer. Leading the team at both sites will be Justin Romeo .A job fair will be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday at the site.
