Warriors’ F Green ejected early

Golden State forward Draymond Green was ejected less than four minutes into the Warriors’ game against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

It was Green’s fourth ejection of the season and the first since his 16-game suspension by the NBA for his history of misconduct and after he struck Phoenix center Jusuf Nurkic in the face during a Dec. 12 game.

Knicks’ center Robinson returns

TORONTO — New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson returned to the court Wednesday night against the Toronto Raptors, his first action since a left ankle injury in December sidelined him for 50 games.

Saratoga rower makes Olympics

Saratoga Springs rower Kristi Wagner was selected to go to the Olympic Games this Summer by U.S. Rowing.

Wagner, who is the regatta director for the Saratoga Rowing Associatio­n, was one of 21 athletes selected to go to the Summer Games, which will take place in Paris this July. Wagner will be making her second Olympic appearance as she also competed in Tokyo in

2020.

Wagner, along with her rowing partner Sofia Vitas, who was also selected to compete in July, won the bronze medal at the 2023 World Rowing Championsh­ips. The pair will be looking to continue success in the women’s double sculls in July.

Caps, Wizards staying in D.C.

WASHINGTON — The NBA’S Washington Wizards and NHL’S Washington Capitals are staying in the District of Columbia for the long term after a plan to lure the teams to Virginia imploded and ownership and the city reached an agreement on a $515 million, publicly funded arena project.

Smith, Thorns agree to deal

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Thorns announced that they signed Sophia Smith to a contract extension through 2025, with a player option for 2026. Portland says the deal gives the 23-year-old forward the highest annual salary in the NWSL but would not disclose terms.

Patroons add home game

The Albany Patroons have added a home game to their schedule to be played Friday, April 5, against the Connecticu­t Crusaders. The game was originally set to be played at Connecticu­t but due to a scheduling conflict the venue was changed to Washington Avenue Armory in Albany. The game is at 7 p.m. The doors open at 6 p.m.
