BASEBALL
Duncan Munro, Niskayuna: The junior third baseman singled to left in the top of the seventh to drive in the winning run in a 3-2 victory at Saratoga Springs.
Will Coreno, Mechanicville: Went 3-for-5 with two RBIS in a 7-3 win against Stillwater and collected the victory in relief in a 3-2 victory over Saratoga Springs.
Scotty Lynch, Mechanicville: The junior drove in the winning run in a 3-2 decision over Saratoga Springs.
Jack Gilbert, Waterford-halfmoon: Tossed a no-hitter, striking out 11, as the Fordians defeated Berlin/new Lebanon 17-0 in five innings.
Connor Kennedy, Waterford-halfmoon: Finished 2for-3 at the plate and drove in five runs as the Fordians posted a 17-0 win over Berlin/new Lebanon.
Hunter Kelly, Chatham: The junior went 3-for-3 with two RBIS and two runs scored as the Panthers posted a 13-0 victory against Duanesburg.
Aidan Loszynski, Maple Hill: The senior smacked a pair of home runs on a 3-for-3 day that included four RBIS, plus worked three innings on the mound and struck out eight as the Wildcats defeated Rensselaer 12-4.
Cooper Skiff, Greenwich: Scattered seven hits and struck out six to help lead the Witches past Hoosic Valley 14-1.
Tanner Bernard, Galway: Combined with Carson Eagan on a no-hitter and tripled and drove in three runs in a 16-0 victory over Holy Trinity.
Caleb Remington, Warrensburg: Doubled, singled twice, scored three runs and drove in two runs to help the Burghers blank Mill River 20-0.
Ben Holcomb, Warrensburg: Finished 3-for-4, including a double, scored three times and knocked in two runs in a 20-0 decision over Mill River.
SOFTBALL
Mya Parkinson, Columbia: Allowed two hits and struck out nine over five innings, plus went 3-for-4 with three RBIS to lead the Blue Devils to a 6-0 victory over Bethlehem.
Sophia Galligan, Columbia: Delivered three hits, including a pair of doubles, in a 6-0 win over Bethlehem.
Alyssa Griffin, Guilderland: The junior, who is committed to play at Iona, clubbed a home run and drove in three runs in a 5-1 victory against Albany.
Hannah Hipwell, Shaker: Singled to drive in the gamewinning run in the seventh as the Blue Bison edged Averill Park 5-4.
Ava Diamante, Mohonasen: Finished 4-for-5 and stole three bases in a 9-8 loss against Albany.
Paige Rogers, Mechanicville: The junior struck out nine and allowed five hits in a 10-2 victory over Stillwater.
Addison Pane, Mechanicville: Went 3-for-5, featuring a home run, scored three times and drove in two runs in a 10-2 win against Stillwater.
Ryan Mcdonald, Saratoga Central Catholic: Tripled, doubled twice and knocked in four runs as the Saints defeated Hoosic Valley 13-5.
BOYS’ LACROSSE
Mason Carroll, Shenendehowa: Scored six goals and added two assists in a 16-6 victory over Ballston Spa and netted seven goals, including his team’s first five, in a 9-8 win against Lakeland/panas.
Nate Wolfe, Shenendehowa: Posted three goals and two assists in a 16-6 win against Ballston Spa and tallied one goal and three assists in a 9-8 triumph over Lakeland/panas.
Michael Hennessey, Shaker: Led the Blue Bison with five goals and two assists in a 13-3 win against Averill Park.
Lee Warren, Guilderland: Tallied six goals and added an assist as the Dutchmen defeated Troy 15-1.
Cooper Mcconaghy, Guilderland: Produced a teamhigh six assists in a 15-1 verdict over Troy.
Tanner Williams, Niskayuna: The senior scored three goals and added an assist in a 12-10 win over Saratoga Springs.
Brayden Shattuck, Queensbury: Paced the Spartans with three goals and four assists in a 19-2 victory against Hudson Falls.
GIRLS’ LACROSSE
Carly Wise, Saratoga Springs: The senior standout pumped in 10 goals to lead the Blue Streaks to a 16-15 victory over Niskayuna.
Lindsey Mcculloch, Shaker: Tallied five goals, including the game winner, in a 10-9 verdict over Bullis and added two goals and one assist in an 18-4 win over Averill Park.
Hannah Daly, Averill Park: Finished with five goals to pace the offense in a 22-0 win against Johnstown.
Abby Houser, Averill Park: Scored four goals and added two assists in a 22-0 decision over Johnstown.
Elizabeth Schafer, Guilderland: Produced five goals and two assists in a 16-12 victory over Albany.
Katherine Boardman, Colonie: Netted three goals and added two assists in a 9-6 win against Shenendehowa.
Sienna Randall, Columbia: Topped the offense with four goals in a 13-5 victory against Albany Academy for Girls.
Rylie Kline, Burnt Hillsballston Lake: The eighthgrader tallied three goals and three assists in the first half as the Spartans defeated Averill Park 16-2.
BOYS’ TENNIS
Masami Surisawa, Albany: The senior, who captured the 2023 Section II title, edged Bethlehem’s Aadi Ojha 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 in an 8-1 loss against the Eagles.
BOYS’ TRACK AND FIELD
Ryan Buskey, Colonie: Delivered a winning effort of 6 feet, 7 inches to earn the title in the high jump at the Ballston Spa Field Challenge.
Camryn Curet, Colonie: Finished second in the high jump (6-3) at the Ballston Spa Field Challenge.
Braiden Pulver, Shenendehowa: Earned victory in the shot put (56 feet) and finished second in the discus (142-3 1⁄2) at the Ballston Spa Field Challenge and posted a win in the shot put (57-0) at the Guilderland Frigid Cup.
Thomas Mcconnalee, Cobleskill-richmondville: Prevailed in the discus (179-5) and came in second in the shot put (49-0) at the Ballston Spa Field Challenge.
Neil Howard, Taconic Hills: The senior posted wins in the 100 (11.16) and the 400 hurdles (54.0) at the Guilderland Frigid Cup.
GIRLS’ TRACK AND FIELD
Parker Steele, Guilderland: Registered individual wins in the 100 hurdles (14.80) and the long jump (17-73⁄4), plus teamed with Kendall Barnhart, Tatum Kramer and Saida Assabahi to capture the 400 relay (49.83) at the Guilderland Frigid Cup.
Kendall Barnhart, Guilderland: The senior earned victory in the 200 (25.79), helped the 400 relay team prevail and finished second in the 400 hurdles (1:02.76) at the Guilderland Frigid Cup.
Tatum Cramer, Guilderland: Captured the title in the 100 (12.94) and helped the 400 relay team win at the Guilderland Frigid Cup.
Saida Assabahi, Guilderland: In addition to helping the 400 relay squad win, Assabahi also collected victory in the 400 (59.43) at the Guilderland Frigid Cup.
Charlotte O’meara, Bethlehem: The junior earned the championship in the 3,000 (10:26.24) at the Guilderland Frigid Cup.
TEAM OF THE WEEK
Guilderland girls’ track and field: Easily earned the team title at the Guilderland Frigid Cup with 274 points, 199 points better than runner-up Columbia.
