Heart Hospital repeats achievement award win
ALBUQUERQUE —The Heart Hospital at Lovelace Medical Center recently received the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline Gold Achievement Award for the second straight year, according to a news release from the Lovelace Health System.
The award was for treatment of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), the most severe form of heart attack, and one which strikes almost 250,000 Americans each year.
“Our team has consistently delivered care that is above and beyond expectations for heart attack patients in our state,” said Troy Green, CEO of Lovelace Medical Center.
Hospitals must adhere to guidelines-based measures at a set level for a designated period of time to be eligible for the achievement awards from the American Heart Association.
