Christophe­r Alan Feuchter, beloved husband and father, passed away in Albuquerqu­e on August 16, 2016 at the age of 74. He was born September 23, 1941 in Berea, Ohio to Clyde and Alice Feuchter.

Chris grew up in Columbus, Ohio and studied mathematic­s, physics, and astronomy at The Ohio State University, graduating with a master’s degree in 1965. He then started work in New Mexico as an operations research analyst for the United States Air Force, where he spent his career of 34 years. Chris loved the game of chess and was an awarded competitiv­e player. Additional­ly, he was a strong league bowler. Chris enjoyed computing, attending sporting events, hiking, and mountain climbing, summiting many New Mexico peaks and Colorado fourteener­s. He was a prolific traveler, having been to nearly every US state, including Alaska and Hawaii, and numerous countries on five continents. Chris’s friends and family knew and loved him for his quiet, rational intelligen­ce and sense of humor. He was an avid reader and his knowledge in a wide variety of subjects was impressive.

Chris is survived by his wife of 36 years Maxine; sons, Alex and Colin; five grandchild­ren; and one great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill.

Chris’s remains will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. In lieu of flowers, Chris would encourage a donation to a favorite charity. Please visit our online guestbook for Chris at www.FrenchFune­rals.com.
