MANY NEW MEXICANS CAN’T SAY THEY HAVE HEARD OF DUCTLESS HVAC SYSTEMS, but expansion of this technology has hit the Albuquerque market. While there are a variety of ductless HVAC systems, all take up less space and give users complete control over what rooms you are heating and cooling leading to better comfort and reduced energy usage.

At Installation Heating Service and Cooling (ISHC), we do currently install ductless HVAC systems in a variety of New Mexico schools, multi-level housing developments, hotels, and office buildings. Each one of these projects requires a different type of ductless system. Commercial ductless HVAC systems are known as variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems. According to Sisneros, VRF systems offer building projects flexibility, durability, energy efficiency, better air quality and ease of maintenance.

These systems also require minimal space, refrigerant lines, and electrical work compared to traditional ducted systems. VRF systems can be installed in the existing building and can be a better option for new additions and renovations. The flexibility of the VRF system can give new life to older buildings that do not have the space for ductwork. These systems are definitely an asset to historical buildings that typically do not have ductwork due to space constraints. VRF systems can be installed without major renovations, preserving the architecture of the building.

VRF systems give the user complete control. Users can control which rooms they heat and cool individually. Maintenance is made simple. Coils and filters can be cleaned instead of replaced and troubleshooting the system will give the user the exact location of the problem sent directly to their phone. Along with the savings, users benefit from better air quality. The VRF system filters out allergens, bacteria, dust and viruses. More and more building and renovation projects are beginning to use ductless systems. Find out if a VRF system is right for your next project, ISHC can help you implement the latest technology and innovation to create processes that work for you.
