1926-2016 Herman H. Sanchez, age 90, a resident of Tome, NM, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, peacefully at his home.

Herman loved his kids and grandkids. He shared his wisdom of ranching and farming throughout the generations, and made sure we were never "burning day light".

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary S. Sanchez; his parents, Enriquez and Francisquita Sanchez; grandparents, Celso and Luz Salazar; his brothers, Tomas and Alfredo Sanchez; sisters, Mela Moya and Lindy Garcia, and many loving brothers and sisters inlaw.

Herman is survived by his children, Dennis and Linda Sanchez, Agnes and Ray Baca, Clarence and Sheila Sanchez, Regina and Ernest Vallejos, and Tiny and Jesse Ayala; brother, Jesus Sanchez; and 12 grandchildren, Denise, Dominic, Desiree, JoeRay, Eric, Jesse, Cecilia, Andrea, Ernie, Matthew, Jesse Jr. and Niko. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Father Hernandez and Romero Funeral Home. A very special thank you to Ambercare Staff, Janet, Amanda and Jay. Also Our in home support, Carmela, Vica and Lucia, for the years of patience, kindness, love, care and support given to our dad in his home. We would also like to thank our family and friends for the support, love and generosity given for his great life’s journey.

All service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome. A Public Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m., and a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Tome Cemetery.
