Vultures will have their day at the BioPark Zoo

Underappreciated and often vilified, vultures are fascinating birds that play an important role as janitors of the environment.

Check out a pellet dissection, participate in a vulture beauty contest, play games and make crafts at discovery stations.

Learn about how vultures’ stomach acid can be a great defense mechanism and why nature’s garbage men are critical parts of the ecosystem.

Activities will be near the aviaries in the zoo’s Africa exhibit. Included with admission.
