Butler, Joan Ann

Joan Ann Butler, 83, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016 in Phoenix, AZ surrounded by her loving family.

Joan was born on June 2, 1933 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Leroy and Margret Riley. Joan was a make-up artist for Revlon for 21 years. She married Richard Harris Butler on August 13, 1955 in Milwaukee, WI. She traveled the world with Richard as he was in the military. He predeceased her in February 1985. Joan loved shopping, antiquing, was a "foodie", had a multitude of friends, enjoyed life, and made everyone wait while she stopped smell the roses.

Joan is survived by two sons, Jeff and Paul, four daughters, Cynthia, Lisa, Diana, and Rena; 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three brothers, Richard, Robert, and Tom Riley, all of Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews and special friends. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Donna Hines.

Memorial service will be held 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11509 Indian School Road, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112. to
