After official review, Auburn is ruled a victor over LSU when apparent TD is negated

CORVALLIS, Ore. — Jeremy McNichols ran for 208 yards and scored four touchdowns and Boise State is off to a 3-0 start for the first time since 2011 after a 38-24 win Saturday over Oregon State.

McNichols did most of his damage in the first half, as the junior running back ran for 146 yards and touchdowns of 5, 6 and 70 yards, and caught a 6-yard scoring pass.

Brett Rypien completed 19-of-36 passes for 215 yards and one TD for the Broncos, who won their fourth straight game against a Pac12 opponent, and their second this season.

Both teams scored on their opening drive, as Oregon State (1-2) tied the game at 7 on a 14-yard run by Ryan Nall. But the Broncos ran over the Beavers from there, holding OSU to 41 yards on its final six first-half drives en route to a 31-7 halftime lead.

TULSA 48, FRESNO STATE 41 (2 OTs): In Fresno, Calif., Dane Evans threw four touchdown passes and ran in the game-winning 18-yard TD in the second overtime as Tulsa (3-1) rallied from 31 points down to beat the Bulldogs (1-3) for the program’s largest comeback win.

Evans was 22-for-32 for 273 yards, Keevan Lucas caught two 40-yard touchdowns passes, and Josh Atkinson and Justin Hobbs each had scoring catches. Tulsa’s D’Angelo

Brewer ran for a career-best 252 yards.

MINNESOTA 31, COLORADO STATE 24: In Minneapoli­s, Rodney Smith rushed 17 times for 99 yards and two touchdowns to help the Gophers (3-0) wear down the Rams (2-2).

PURDUE 24, NEVADA 14: In West Lafayette, Ind., David Blough threw for 300 yards and two touchdowns and the Boilermake­rs (2-1) rallied past the Wolf Pack (2-2).

IOWA STATE 44, SAN JOSE STATE 10: In Ames, Iowa, Jacob Park threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns and Iowa State (1-3) thumped the Spartans (1-3). San Jose State freshman Josh Love threw for 155 yards, but he was also picked off four times.

IDAHO 33, UNLV 30 (OT): In Las Vegas, Nev., Callen Hightower scored on an 11-yard pass from Matt Linehan to give Idaho an overtime victory over UNLV, which kicked a field goal on its OT possession.

WESTERN NM 68, UT PERMIAN BASIN 17: In Odessa, Texas, Javia Hall threw for 284 yards and four touchdowns, three to Xavier Ayers, to lead the Mustangs (2-2, 2-1 Lone Star).
