President Obama’s job approval rating reached a second-term height of 55 percent last week. The president must be thrilled after being publicly compared to Abraham Lincoln recently. Just-released statistics show that only Lincoln’s presidency led to more gun sales than President Obama’s.
Donald Trump was accused by another woman of groping her as Bill Clinton notched yet another accuser in Fort Smith from his Arkansas days. They are tied at 10 apiece. Americans would have lost all interest in the presidential contest if it weren’t for the side race for the Cosby Cup.
The Los Angeles Dodgers hosted the Chicago Cubs at beautiful Chavez Ravine in Los Angeles last week, where they fought it out in the playoffs for the National League pennant. Larry King was seen sitting in great seats right behind home plate. So you see, Trump’s right, the system is rigged.
The Major League Baseball Playoffs involving the Dodgers, the Cubs, the Indians and Blue Jays drew excellent ratings. The pre-game and post-game shows were very entertaining. Last week, I thought I was being victimized by one of those clown sightings, but it was just Pete Rose.
