The Chicago Cubs lose the NLCS to the Florida Marlins, who would go on to win the World Series.

2007

Chicago Cubs lose the NLDS to the Arizona Diamondbac­ks.

They are swept again in the 2008 NLDS, this time by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
