Pair arrested for alleged fraud
Officers arrested a couple in their 60s who allegedly defrauded a Santa Fe veteran out of $340,000 after they were hired to care for him, according to New Mexico State Police.
Thursday morning the Santa Fe Police Department released a wanted flier for the couple — Dian Zeemin, 69, and Joseph Rosko, 62 — saying they were known to be traveling across New Mexico and Colorado in a small mobile home, and were frequenting campgrounds, RV parks and local casinos.
Several hours later, police caught up with the pair at an RV park in Questa after receiving an anonymous tip, said Sgt. Elizabeth Armijo, a State Police spokeswoman.
They were arrested on felony warrants for exploitation and forgery charges and booked into the Taos Adult Detention Center, Armijo said.
More information on how they defrauded their victim was not immediately available Thursday night.
