HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY

-

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Dec. 4): You’ll be met with understanding and acceptance for ideas you thought were held by you alone. Operating within family-like environs will be a pleasure in the weeks to come. There will be some restructuring of your days in February, and you’ll spend money differently, too. This prepares you for glorious June. Capricorn and Gemini adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 3, 40, 2, 21 and 15.

ARIES (March 21-April

19): The ordinary thing before you has a deep truth to it. You’ll find out just what that is — or at least glimpse it for a pleasurable moment. Your full attention and engagement is the magic key.

TAURUS (April 20-May

20): If you’re looking for it, you’ll find it. So look for the good stuff, fresh excitement, the sweetness in the middle, the pretty sky and the emotional equivalent of that.

GEMINI (May 21-June

21): It will be better to get guidance from an approachable person who can give you the practical steps than from an expert who can dazzle you with science and theory. Because really, this one should be pretty simple.

CANCER (June 22-July

22): The puzzle of the day will be best navigated through emotional intelligence and intuition. Expect other inner voices to pipe up. Tell the voice of reason and your inner critic, “Kindly calm down, friends. I got this.”

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22):

It won’t be easy, and it won’t be hard; it will just be necessary. Don’t show up trying to change things or improve things. Don’t show up ready to make your mark. Show up ready to work and all will click into place.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept.

22): It’s not about finding your joy today, although you certainly may find it along the way. If that happens, it will be a byproduct of your pursuit for a greater understanding and respect for what’s around you.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct.

23): Though you’ll mostly keep your unique opinions and observations to yourself, there is one thing you notice that you absolutely must share; otherwise, everyone would miss out.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov.

21): You’ll get the sneaking suspicion that you’re the central oppressed figure in a repetitive, drawn-out drama. That’s your signal to decentralize yourself. Make it about someone else. Suddenly, you’ll see it differently.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Just because a crisis is not material doesn’t make it any less real. Existential crisis is every bit as dangerous. You’ll avoid it by reminding yourself of your purpose often throughout the day.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): What would happen if you met that (probably very difficult and unreasonable) person halfway? Today, believe it or not, the outcome will be better than fully getting your own way.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): You’ll earn the respect of those around you, not because you’re so great at what you do but because you have the heart to keep going forward even when there’s no clear sign that you’ll be successful.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): If you make a mistake, you’ll bounce back from it, but with a little effort on the front end, you can avoid the pitfall in the first place. Do your research. Find your mentor. There are many who would love to help you.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: Though there are many competitive aspects to life, life isn’t always a competition. To approach all situations with a winner/loser mentality not only is unwise but also can be downright dangerous. First of all, input will be needed from many diverse sources to solve the problem at hand. If the strongest force overcomes the weaker ones, valuable resources will be lost. This week will bring several instances in which winning the battle will mean losing the war. Diplomacy and restraint are called for. Mutualism is the ideal symbiotic relationship this week, which opens with a lucky lunar trine involving Jupiter in the sign of harmony and partnership.

Venus transits into Aquarius on Dec. 7, where she’ll close out the year. In this sign, Venus gives her love globally. The cycle favors a humanistic approach, and many will rise above individualistic interests with intentions to do the highest and best for the largest number of people.

On a personal level, Venus in Aquarius favors friendship, loose ties, banding together with acquaintances, attending meetings of the mind, taking part in group activities and generally being sociable and fun. What love lacks in depth, it may make up for in breadth. The week calls for shared interests and lighthearted fun.
