Schumacher, Gary Lynn

Gary Lynn Schumacher, born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on April 1, 1939 to Iva and Gordon Schumacher passed on December 18, 2016. Gary was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Jeri. He enlisted in the US Navy at 17 serving a combined 33 years in the Navy and Department of Defense at NWEF. An avid outdoors man Gary taught hunters safety in Montana and started his own business Schumacher Guns in 1991. He was the oldest of 10 children and preceded in death by three brothers, Jan, Geoffery, and Vic Schumacher.

He is survived by his brothers Lance (Terrisita) of California, Kim of Albuquerque, Dane of Idaho, Marc (Ann) of Arizona, and two sisters Renee Schaffer (Scott) of Arizona, Roxanne Narr of Arizona. His three children Leanna Young (Ronald) of Albuquerque, Karen Schumacher (Richard Bordon) of Oakridge TN, and Teresa Schumacher of Albuquerque and three grandchildren Connor (Laura Gutierrez), Aislinn and Ethan and two great grandchildren Julius Gutierrez and Adryann Schumacher all of Albuquerque. As well as countless nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
