LOBO-CANIS LUPUS: A territorial (Wise Pies Arena/University Stadium) predator that hunts in packs (Teams) and preys on the old and the WEAK. LOBOS. — A casual observer

SO I JUST GOT done reading the Tuscon-Arizona Daily Star newspaper about Tuesdays game. “Easy victory over another cupcake team.” How embarrassing! What happened to our once proud program?

— SimoJ, Rio Rancho

IS IT TIME for “Noodles” to go? UNM should at least consider the pasta-bilities …

— Uptown Ed

THE ONLY THING more difficult than watching the badly overmatched Lobos play Arizona on Pac-12 Network was listening to Bill Walton babble on and on and on. …

— WKR, Farmington

FOR THOSE WHO haven’t previously listened to Pac-12 color analyst Bill Walton, he has always marched to the beat of a different drummer. However, New Mexico played so poorly against Arizona that he outdid himself. “Bob King, the Valles Caldera, Norm Ellenberger, the Sandia mountains, the UNM women’s cross country team, the Pit’s 50th anniversary, the Blue Hole near

Santa Rosa, the Land of Enchantment — a beautiful place.” Hopefully the New Mexico Tourism Department was watching and listening. Walton should be invited as a special guest. Bill Walton is New Mexico True.

— N.M. Promoter

COACH NEAL continually blaming the players is like the captain of the Titanic blaming the cabin crew for the ship’s sinking.

— Ken in Tijeras

LOBO BASKETBALL should contact Jeff Siembieda in case they finish with a .500 record. Maybe he could create a basketball bowl game since the

NIT and CBI opponents would be to tough (ask bob davie about ducking opponents). He could call it the NM/insignificant/everyone gets a trophy bowl. Maybe coach Neal could schedule/request Pine Bluff or UTSA as a opponent. Lobo fans could put those rose colored glasses on and pretend (they) had two successful seasons.

— Hairy G

HERE’S A WAKE-UP call to all the Lobo basketball fans: Be happy the football program was 9-4 and won a bowl game. After this year football will replace basketball as the sport of choice in Albuquerque. Men’s basketball will no

longer generate a positive cash flow. Season tickets are at a low, the program lacks leadership, and coach Neal should go the way of his son. Look for another cut in minor sports. It’s a new era for the Lobos.

— Rick

WESTSIDE TONY, Are you kidding me? Cowboy Stadium game attendance averages 92,400 fans. That is over 14,000 fans/game than any other team in the NFL.

PATRIOTS 16, Donkeys 3 in Denver. Where’s that #1 defense now?
