Gallegos, Eddie Saibes
Eddie Saibes Gallegos was born October 6, 1937 in Anton Chico, New Mexico. He passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 in Albuquerque at the age of 79.
Eddie will be remembered for always remaining a dedicated, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren’s accomplishments.
Eddie worked 10 years for ACF and then worked for General Electric Aircraft for 32 years. For many years, he was involved in the IAMAW Local 794 Labor Relations Committee. He enjoyed competitive pool and participated in many tournaments and also enjoyed playing poker with his family and friends.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Desiderio and Cleotilde Gallegos; his brothers, Ben, Jimmy, Richard, Mel and Robert and by his sister, Vangie Bernal.
He is survived by his wife, Angie Gallegos; son, Ron Gallegos and wife Terry; daughters, Peggy Luna and husband Marty and Donna Gallegos; brother, Manual Gallegos and wife Mildred; sisters, Nadine Chaves and husband Alex, Flora Gallegos, Mary Lou Romero and husband Paul; grandchildren, Paulette, Audra, Joslyn, Danielle, Martin, Damian and Adalyn (great granddaughter to be) and his constant companion Chico, his Chihuahua; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. A Rosary and a Mass will be held at St. Therese of the Little Flower Catholic Church, 4th and Mildred NW., on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 beginning at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Ray Encee, Marty Luna, Ron Gallegos, Nathan Gutierrez, Martin Luna and Damian ChavezGallegos.
