Davisson, Anna Faye (Hopkins)

1934 – 2016 Anna, 82, was born on July 16, 1934 in Adams County, OH and passed away December 17, 2016 at her home in Albuquerque, NM. She was a resident of Albuquerque for 51 years.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard C. Davisson; two sons, Richard A. Davisson and wife, Phyliss, Denie G. Davisson and wife, Marilynn; two deceased daughters, Lorraine A. Davisson and son, Greg and daughter, Shiree and Jenny D. Currier; Ann’s son-in-law, Daniel Currier; granddaughter, Lisa Currier; two great grandsons, Justin and Jacob; granddaughter, Haley Davisson daughter of Richard A. and Phyliss Davisson; grandson, Douglas Currier from Terry and Daniel Currier. Surviving brothers are Vernon P. Hopkins and wife, Bonnie, Sanford L. Hopkins and wife, Shirley; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, Vernon and Dora Myrtle Palmer Hopkins of OH; her brother, Denver Hopkins of AZ; and her sister, Beulah Carnahan of OH. Anna bowled in many leagues at Fiesta and Holiday Lanes. Anna was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank Pastor Doug Chapman for his visits to Anna. Thanks to Sharon Martinez, a nurse from Hospice Compassus, for her care of Anna, and to Hospice Compassus employees who cared for Anna. Many thanks to Anna’s friends, Rose Ann Smart, Carol Eldridge, Dawn and Joe Cifaretta, Jean and Charles Melloy, Nina and Bill Grizzard and her many other friends who visited her.

Friends may visit Monday, December 26, 2016, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Lomas. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 9500 Constitution NE. Anna will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.
