Jim Clark, age

96, passed away of natural causes Sunday, December 4, 2016 with his loving daughter and a son-inlaw at this side. He joins his beloved wife of 75 years, June, who went to the Lord on May 12, 2016.

Jim was born April 25, 1920 to Edith and Earnest Clark at a homestead in Custer County, South Dakota. He moved to Denver and then to Albuquerqu­e as a 10th grader. After high school and marriage, he was drafted to serve in WWII with the Navy. Upon his return he worked in Albuquerqu­e for the telephone company till he retired 35 years later.

Jim and June spent their retirement years happily traveling in their trailer all over the United States visiting family, friends, National Parks, monuments, historic sites, beaches, deserts and mountains.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Emma and brother, Marvin.

He is survived by his brothers, Clyde and Alvin Miller, their wives and children; his daughters, Susan Nielsen and husband, Mike of Albuquerqu­e; Beth Altherr and husband, Heath of Albuquerqu­e; Jill Clark of Albuquerqu­e and son, Jeff of Tijeras, NM; grandsons, Justin Nielsen and daughter, Elle McCan of Portland, OR, Matthew Wagoner, wife, Ann and daughter, Christine of Albuquerqu­e, Jeffrey Scott Clark of Ribera, NM, Colt Barnes of Albuquerqu­e, Bryce Barnes, wife and son Miles of Pagosa Springs, CO; granddaugh­ter, Robyn Saia and husband and, Matt of San Diego, CA, Amy Espinosa and husband, Doug and their children, Tazmin, Xaeden, Kalesi and baby due June 25, 2017 of Westminist­er, CO, Holly Gallegos and husband, Louis and their children, Marceliana, Savannah and Charlotte of Ribera, NM and many dear nieces and nephews.

Jim has been cremated and his life will be celebrated in February 2017 at The First Presbyteri­an Church, 215 Locust St NE, 87102 where he and his wife, June were members for 60 years. Please contact a family member or the church at 764-2900 in January for the date and time in February. You are greatly missed and loved Jim Clark.
