Charlie M. Romero "Carlos" age

78, was born on February 10,

1938 in Punta de Agua, New Mexico and passed away on Monday, December 19,

2016 in Albuquerque. Carlos will be remembered as a loyal New Orleans Saints fan. He attended and graduated from Albuquerque High School and went on to work for the City of Albuquerque, retiring from the Building Maintenance Division.

Carlos was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Nancy Romero; his daughter, Lynnette Romero; parents, Antonio and Aguedita Romero; brothers, Joe and Raymond Romero and sisters, Rita Clark and Christine Romero.

He is survived by three daughters, Francine Plake, Stephanie Romero and Roberta Rowe; eight grandchildren; fifteen greatgrandchildren; three sisters; two sons in-law, Terry Plake and Mark Rowe; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him dearly.

A viewing and prayer service will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW on Monday December 26, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Glory Bound Ministries, 11913 Menaul Blvd. NE. on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 10:00am with Pastor Claudia Baca Moore will be officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Phillip and Sean Plake, Mario and Stevie Gutierrez, Marcus Rowe, Carlos Sr. and Carlos Rowe Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be his remaining grandchildren and great grandchildren.
