Schwebke, James Philip

James Philip Schwebke passed away January 3, 2017. Jim was born in Milwaukee, WI to Howard and Phyllis Schwebke on October 10, 1949. He went to Monona Grove High School and then on to University of WisconsinO­shkosh. During his school years he played in numerous rock bands who often traveled in a converted bread truck better known as the "skunk" because of the black body and white stripe.

After graduation he moved to Spokane, WA and then onto Seattle. His career in insurance took off with Zurich Insurance. His sales territory included Washington, Oregon and Alaska.

In 1998 Jim moved to Albuquerqu­e NM to work for Farm Bureau Financial Services. He married his loving wife Colleen in 2000. The county farm bureaus enjoyed his humor and especially his ability to recruit new members. He really loved working with the farmers and ranchers of northern NM.

Jim liked to camp, collect antiques and play with his cats Scooter and Lilly.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years Colleen. Brother John (Debbie) , Georgetown, TX. Nieces Kristin Dodson (Mike) of Waco , TX and Melanie Schwebke ( Clint Walding) of San Antonio TX. He is also survived by step children Jonathan Parr (Clara) Virginia Beach, VA, Timothy Parr Chesapeake, VA and Rena O’Harra (Kevin) Virginia Beach, VA.

Also two stepgrandc­hildren Jonathan Jr and Gabriel Parr of Virginia Beach, VA.

A memorial Service is planned for February 24, 2017 in the Cremation Society of New Mexico, 1935 Juan Tabo Blvd, Albuquerqu­e, NM at 10:30 AM.

Jim would want you to take a Veteran to lunch to honor him.
