SPORTS SPEAK UP!

- — SimoJ, Rio Rancho

DARE I SAY IT? Coach Neal, the new Mike Locksley of Lobo Athletics. By the way, when does football start?

HEY COACH NEAL, it’s time for a team “movie night” but forget Hoosiers, we need Glengarry Glen Ross. “ALWAYS BE CLOSING!” — TE EDDIE Z, you have told us about the CURSE of the Snake. I give you, now, the BLESSING of the Mexican Gray Wolf (LOBO) which will prevail. I just hope Snake has a good seat to watch the Lobos run the table. — Charles Digneo NOODLES, EXCUSES NOW — blaming the media for your inexperience & continued mistakes. Which included repeatedly calling out your Family of Players. You obviously have not earned & even lost the respect of anyone playing or previously supporting you.

— Gary@the Butte

TO THOSE so called Lobo basketball fans who think they know the game and think booing our kids and coach is going to help them win. Please stay home. You’re supposed to be the “sixth man.” Shame on you. — GMM NONE OF THIS is new: Jerry Jones running his mouth, UNLV women in a brawl (Olivier coaches this way), “Noodles” can’t coach and won’t admit it. Men’s opponents DO NOT fear the Pit. — MHD LET’S SEE: 19 three point shots missed. If they took 19 two point shots and made … 42% of them, they ladies would have won. Why continue to beat a dead horse?

— da Don, ABQ

I TRIED TO PLOT the dissimilar trajectories of the Lobo and Aggie men’s basketball teams on a graph but couldn’t find one large enough. — Jack Bowers, Albuquerque

SO AFTER BLOWING a 25-point lead to Nevada, Neal said, “I wouldn’t do anything different …” And then after losing to UNLV, it was “we need to make more shots.” Really?! You think?! As I said before, pathetic. Know-nothing Noodles needs to go.

— ABQ Mike

FOR ME THE DROP in NFL ratings is all about the dancin’, and prancin’, braggin’, and boastin’ after every play. What happened to respect for the game, and respect for the opponent? It is just a game. Try to act like a man. — jimm soxx I CAN’T WAIT for the next Lobo coach to come riding into town and win the National Championship with all of the deserving scholarship athletes that NM produces. I can picture it now. … University Stadium will finally be filled to capacity with all of the friends and family of these fine scholar athletes. I do wonder how this gold mine of D1 talent we have has been overlooked by every coach in the history of college football. Seems a little odd. I say we keep coach Davie and fire Mo not an attorney from Sports Speak Up!

— Steve in lobo land

CAN’T BELIEVE that Alabama lost despite all the NM players on their roster.

— Greybeard KUDOS TO James Yodice on his coverage of all high school sports Boys and Girls. Recently, when the Boys Basketball Metro tourney seedings were announced, he felt that the seedings didn’t reflect the current “who’s hot” and “who’s not” scenario. And the tourney results (worked) out per his prediction. And, I am most impressed at tourney time in all sports, his projected seeds are always spot on. Having said that, he still needs to take it easy on my Española Sundevils. — Vince Guillen
