Linker, Harold "Hal"

Harold "Hal" Link er, 88, an Albuquerqu­e resident since 1959, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 14th, 2017. He was the son of Frederick and Natalie (Bauer) Linker of Ft. Morgan, CO.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leonard; and sister, Virginia. Hal was a devoted family man, friend to many, dedicated employ ee, helper to those in need, vi sionary who built ideas into prod ucts and enthusiast­ic sports fan. In 1950, he married Marilyn Johnston, his high school sweetheart. They moved to CA after being called to serve in the Coast Guard during the Korean War. Following his discharge, Hal completed his education and upon graduation was recruited by Sandia National Laboratori­es. After 30 years at Sandia, Hal retired and spent his retirement years devoting his time to family, golf and travel. He created a successful golf business, ForeLinks LLC.

In addition to his wife; he is survived by son, Kevin (Linda); grandsons, Kyle and Taylor; daughter, Kimberly; grandson, Trey Thunborg (Brandy); and granddaugh­ters, Kacey and Jenna Thunborg. The family wishes to express appreciati­on to those who provided comfort and care to Hal. A special thanks to his dedicated caregivers, Julia, Eric, Kathleen, and Rizza.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017, 10:30 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Interment will take place at a later date in CO.
