Major profession­al accomplish­ment: Seeing the look on a child’s face when he or she discovers a love of reading is priceless. I consider my work with individual children to overcome reading difficulti­es to be my greatest accomplish­ment. Major personal accomplish­ment: I did not have an opportunit­y to return to college until I was 40 years old. My teaching career began when I was 45. I completed both my degrees in five years while working full-time.
