Blanchet, Suzanne Marie

Suzanne Marie Blanchet, 68, a native of Jeanerette and New Iberia, LA, passed away Sunday, January

15, 2017 at her home in Albuquerque, NM.

Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Allison Tracy Vidrine, son-in-law, J. Brandon, and grandson, J. Jett, all of Pittsburgh, PA; her brother, Howard J. Blanchet Jr. and sister-in-law, Linda of Wyomissing, PA, as well as their three children, Amy B. Morris of Albuquerque, NM, John H. Blanchet of Haverford, PA and James F. Blanchet of Philadelphia, PA; nephews, Joseph Muffoletto Jr. and Robert Muffoletto; and niece, Mona Zehner, all of Jeanerette, LA. Suzanne also leaves many more cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, god children and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her partner, Kathryn Cleaveland Tracy; parents, Howard J. Blanchet Sr. and Nanette G. Blanchet; sister, Hortense A. Muffoletto; brother, Fernand Paul Autery; and nephews, George Muffoletto and Michael Muffoletto.

Suzanne was a graduate of St Joseph’s High School in Jeanerette, and Maryville University in St. Louis, MO. She was a registered nurse for more than 30 years, and a former nun with the Sisters of Mercy in St. Louis. Suzanne’s passions were her zest for life, the people around her, and bringing joy and laughter to everyone she met. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Suzanne’s warm personality and selflessness will be missed by everyone who knew her.
