Inn of the Mountain Gods offers chance to win a 2017 VW Beetle
Take a short day trip to Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino in Mescalero and you might be driving back in a new 2017 Volkswagen Beetle.
Be part of the “Punch Buggie” promotion now through Feb. 26 for a chance to win a 2017 Volkswagen Beetle. Apache Spirit Club members who earn 50 points any Sunday, Tuesday or Saturday will earn an entry into the weekly drawings where five winners will get one entry into the final drawing and a chance at up to $500 in Free Spirit Play. The five winners selected each week will be entered into the final drawing for the Beetle at 9 p.m. Feb. 25 at Inn of the Mountain Gods and at 9 p.m. Feb. 26 at Casino Apache, Inn of the Mountain Gods’ sister location. In addition, players can earn 10 times the entries on Tuesdays.
Love remains in the air at Inn of the Mountain Gods during its “$27,000 Share the Love Slot Tournament” every Saturday through Feb. 25. Teams of two who earn 20 points between 5 and 8 p.m. Saturdays will earn one entry into the 8 p.m. tournament where they will have a chance at a share of the $27,000 prize pool.
Table players can get in on the “Love Birds Hot Seat” promotion now through Feb. 28. One lucky Apache Spirit Club member will walk away with $150 in table cheques after the “Love Birds Hot Seat” drawings. The drawings will be held each hour between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Casino Apache. Any table games player who is actively playing blackjack during promotional times will be automatically entered for a chance to win. Also, all players playing at the same table of the drawing winner will also win $10 in table cheques.
Locals have a promotion they can call their own. The Winter Local League Poker Tournament is going on now. Apache Spirit Club table game members can participate during the tournaments held Mondays and Tuesdays in February. The buy-in is $40, with a $10 entry fee. The top point earners will be invited back to the two-day “Bad Beat Payback” tournament in March.
Texas Hold ’Em players will not want to miss out on the “Road to the Main Event” Texas Hold ’Em tournament, beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, and Sunday, Feb. 19. The buy-in is $330. Eliminations will be made on Saturday before the finals begin on Sunday.
Inn of the Mountain Gods is serving up some country entertainment tonight with Granger Smith. After producing seven albums independently, including 2013’s “Dirt Road Highway,” which peaked at No. 1 on iTunes, Smith signed a recording deal with Wheelhouse Records in 2015, releasing his label debut, “Remington,” in March 2016, according to an Inn of the Mountain Gods news release. “His relentless touring and online presence as an independent artist paid off, as ‘Remington’ climbed to (No. 3) on the Top Country charts while selling more than 65,000 copies,” according to the news release.
